Appetit on iPhone: a chocolate cake recipe from BBC Good Food as one clean card, with time, servings, grocery cost and ingredients

One card. Everything else follows.

Save a recipe once. It already knows what it costs, what to buy and how to walk you through it.

  1. Save

    From wherever you found it

Paste a link from any recipe site, share straight from Safari or TikTok, or photograph a cookbook page. Handwriting too: Appetit flags anything it wasn't sure about, you confirm and grandma's words stay grandma's words.

    • Bring your whole Paprika or Mela library in one go.
    • Out of ideas? Appetit picks are tested recipes from Gousto, BBC Good Food, Bon Appétit and 30 more kitchens.
    • Cocktails get their own card: glass, method, garnish.
  2. Shop

Know the cost before you shop

Every recipe shows what the groceries come to, total and per serving, from supermarket prices where you live. Pick a few recipes and get one list: two recipes that need butter make one line of butter.

    • Send the list as a link. Whoever opens it ticks and adds while you shop, no app needed.
    • Every line names the recipes it is for.
    • Prices for the US, the UK, Australia and 8 more countries. An estimate, never a charge.
  3. Cook

    Cook from the lock screen

One step at a time, in type you can read from the stove. Timers ring, the screen stays awake and your step and timer follow you to the lock screen and the Dynamic Island.

    • Cooking for 2, not 4? Every amount follows, in kitchen fractions.
    • Out of crème fraîche? Ask for a swap that won't break the dish.
    • Leave mid-cook and pick up right where you were.
  4. Keep

    Yours, in your words

Mark what you made and leave a note for next time. A recipe in another language becomes a copy in yours, with the words your kitchen uses: cilantro in Texas, coriander in Leeds. The original stays as it was.

    • Works offline and syncs across your devices.
    • Share any recipe as a page anyone can open.

Good to know

Will it work with my favorite recipe site?
Almost always. Appetit reads any site that publishes a proper recipe and uses AI on the ones that don’t. If a page still doesn’t import, tap “Ask us to fix this site” right there. We work on it, and as soon as Appetit can read the page, the recipe is waiting in your library.
What happens to my recipes if I stop paying?
They stay yours and stay readable. A plan adds room and AI features. It never locks what you already saved.
How good is the cost estimate?
It comes from supermarket prices in your country, total and per serving. Your store will differ a little and nothing is ever charged. Prices cover the US, the UK, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Peru, Colombia and Argentina.
Is there an Android app?
It is on the way. Your plan follows your account, so it comes with you.
