Privacy Policy
Appetit stores the recipes you import so you can cook from them. This policy explains what we collect, why and what we never do.
What we store
- Your recipes. Recipes you import (from links or photos) are stored in your account so they sync between your devices. They are private to your account and never shared with other users or published anywhere.
- Your account. The app works without signup using an anonymous account. If you create an account, we store your email address to let you sign in on other devices.
- Purchase status. Whether your account has an active plan. Payments themselves are processed entirely by Apple or Google; we never see or store card details.
- Usage counters. A monthly count of AI imports and assistant requests, used to apply fair-use limits on paid features.
How imports work
- When you import a link, the page content is processed to extract the recipe. Pages without standard recipe markup, and photos you import, are processed by an AI service solely to extract the recipe text. We never use your content to train models.
- Photos you import are processed for extraction and are not retained on our servers after processing.
Third parties
Your data is hosted with established cloud providers. Payments and receipts are handled entirely by Apple and Google. Anonymous crash reports (never recipe content) help us fix bugs.
What we never do
- No ads, no ad tracking, no sale of data to anyone.
- No publishing or redistribution of your recipes.
- No reading of your data beyond operating the service.
Deleting your data
Delete any recipe in the app at any time. To delete your entire account and its data, email support@appetit.ai from the account's email and we will erase it.
